He had an InReach device with him but it was not activated.  Sheriff’s Deputies located Stringer’s vehicle at North Lake early on Tuesday morning.  Stringer was married and was expecting his first baby with his wifeStringer’s cell phone activity showed that he only made a call from downtown Bishop on early Sunday morning, before his hike. The hiker’s cause of death has not been released. Stringer was married and was expecting his first baby with his wife. She is 38 weeks pregnant. A GoFundMe has been established by a family friend to help Stringer’s wife so ‘she doesn’t have to worry for the first year.’ It has managed to raise just over $3,000 of its $10,000 goal. ‘We are heartbroken, and we just want to help his wife, family, and unborn baby girl,’ the fundraiser states.
