Wait, Really?? Katy Perry Tops Forbes Highest Paid Women In Music List

This is a bit surprising…

Forbes published their annual Highest Paid Women In Music list, and we’re a bit surprised to be honest to see that Katy Perry is topping the list, over other powerhouses Taylor Swift and Beyoncé.

No offense to Miz Perry, who took in $83 million from June 1, 2017 – June 1, 2018, mostly from her fourth concert tour Witness: The Tour which ran from Sep 19, 2017 – Aug 21, 2018, but we would have thought that one of the other ladies on the list would have taken the top spot.

Taylor Swift was just behind her at number two, raking in $80 million from the same period of time from her Reputation album and tour, although many of her tour dates were after the end of the survey period.

Beyoncé nabbed number three, but to be fair, her album Everything Is Love with JAY-Z dropped just after the end of the time period for this year on June 16, as did the start of the OTR II tour, so we can bet that she might score number one next year.

Congrats, Katy!!
